Volume 3, Book 50, Number 875:
Narrated Jarir:
When I gave the pledge of allegiance to Allah’s Apostle and he stipulated that I should give good
advice to every Muslim.
Volume 3, Book 34, Number 366:
Narrated Jarir:
I have given a pledge of allegiance to Allah’s Apostle for to testify that None has the right to be
worshipped but Allah, and Muhammad is His Apostle, to offer prayers perfectly, to pay Zakat, to
listen to and obey (Allah’s and His Prophet’s orders), and to give good advice to every Muslim.
Volume 1, Book 3, Number 122:
Narrated Jarir:
The Prophet said to me during Hajjat-al-Wida’: Let the people keep quiet and listen. Then he said
(addressing the people), “Do not (become infidels) revert to disbelief after me by striking the necks
(cutting the throats) of one another (killing each other).”
