‘Narrated ‘Aisha:
The Prophet used to like to start from the right side as far as possible in combing and in perform –
ing ablution.
Volume 7, Book 72, Number 826:
Narrated Ibn Mas’ud:
Allah has cursed those women who practise tattooing or get it done for themselves, and those who
remove hair from their faces, and those who create spaces between their teeth artificially to look
beautiful, such ladies as change the features created by Allah. Why then shall I not curse those
whom Allah’s Apostle has cursed and who are cursed in Allah’s Book too?
Volume 7, Book 72, Number 811:
Narrated Abu Huraira :
The Prophet said, “(Allah said), ‘Every good deed of Adam’s son is for him except fasting; it is for
Me. and I shall reward (the fasting person) for it.’ Verily, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person is
better to Allah than the smell of musk.”

Allah’s Apostle said, “The evil eye is a fact,” and he forbade tattooing.

used to perfume the Prophet before his assuming the state of with the best scent available.

Anas never used to refuse (a gift of) scent and used to say that the Prophet never used to refuse (a
gift of) scent.

Narrated ‘Aisha :
During Hajjat-al-Wada’, I perfumed Allah’s Apostle with Dharira with my own hands, both on his
assuming Ihram and on finishing it.

Allah has cursed those women who practise tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and
those who remove their face hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to
look beautiful, and such women as change the features created by Allah. Why then should I not
curse those whom the Prophet has cursed? And that is in Allah’s Book. i.e. His Saying: ‘And what the
Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).’ (59.7)
