Sahih Muslim Hadith 2641 – Fasting On The

[2641] 116 ( … ) 'Urwah narrated that 'Aishah told him that the Quraish used to fast 'Athârâ' during the Jâhiliyyah, then the Messenger of Allah 04 was commanded to fast it, until (fasting during) Ramadân was enjoined. Then the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever wishes, let him fast it, and whoever wishes, let him not fast."
