[839] 3 – ( … ) It was narrated that Anas bin Mâlik said: "They (the people) said that the times of prayer should be announced by means of something that they would recognize (easily), and they suggested lighting a fire or striking a bell. Then Bilâl was ordered to say the phrases of the A4jhân twice and the phrases of the Iqâmah once."
