[820] 112 – ( … ) It was narrated from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahmân bin Abza, from his father, that a man came to 'Umar and said: "I became sexually impure but I could not find any water." He said: "Do not pray." 'Ammar said: "Do you not remember, 0 Commander of the Believers! When you and I were on a campaign and we became sexually impure and could not find any water. You did not pray, but I rolled in the dust and offer a16t. The Prophet jW, said: 'It would have been sufficient for you to strike your hands on the ground, then blow on them, then wipe your face and hands with them.'' Umar said: 'Fear Allah, 0 'Ammâr!' I said: 'If you wish, I will not narrate it." (In another narration) from Dharr with the same chain that Al-Hakam mentioned. 'Umar said: "We have left you with what you have said."
