[4864] ( … ) It was narrated that Abü Hurairah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Were it not that it would be too difficult for the believers, I would not have stayed behind from any expedition" – a similar 1IadIth (as no. 4863). With this chain of narration (it is narrated): "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I wish that I could be killed in the cause of Allah, then brought back to life," a IjadIth like that of Abü Zur'ah from AN Hurairah.
