[4504] 7 – (…) It was narrated that Zaid bin Khâlid A]-Juhanl said: The Messenger of Allah was asked about picking up lost items. He said: "Announce it for one year, then if it is not recognized (i.e., claimed), memorize the features of its bag and strap, then consume it, but if its owner comes, pay it back."
