[4447] 32 – ( … ) It was narrated from Abü Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah was asked about a slave woman who commits Zinâ and is not married. He said: "If she commits Zinâ, whip her; then if she commits Zinâ (again), whip her; then if she commits Zinâ, whip her, then sell her, even if it is for a rope." Ibn Shihâb said: I do not know whether it (the selling) was after the third time or the fourth.
