[322] 193 – (122) It was A ()-r [rfl] narrated from Ibn 'Abbâs that some of the people of Shirk killed (others), and did it a great deal, and they committed Zinâ and did it a great deal. Then they came to Muhammad ç and said: "What you are saying and are calling to is good, if only you could tell us that there is any expiation for what we have done." Then the following was revealed: "And those who invoke not any other Ilâh (god) along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse – and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. 11 and: 0 'IbâdI (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)!
