[2666] 133 – (1134) Abü Ghatafân bin TarIf A]-MurrI said: "I heard 'Abdullâh bin 'Abbâs [may Allah be pleased with them] say: 'When the Messenger of Allah fasted on the day of Ajhârâ' and enjoined this fast, they said: "0 Messenger of Allah, it is a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians." The Messenger of Allah 4% said: "Next year – if Allah wills – we will fast on the ninth day." He said: 'But the next year the Messenger of Allah had passed away."
