Sahih Muslim Hadith 2355 – Carrying Goods

[2355] 72 – (1018) It was narrated that Abü Mas'üd said: "We were commanded to give charity – and we were bearers (who carried goods for payment). Abü 'AqIl gave half a â' in charity and someone brought more than that. The hypocrites said: 'Allah has no need of the charity of this man, and the other one only did it to show off.' Then the following verse was revealed: An-Nisâ' 4:1. Those who defame such of the believers who give charity voluntarily, and such who could not find to give charity except what is available to them… ." Ill
