Sahih Muslim Hadith 1760 – The Night Prayers

[1760] 156 – (749) 'Ubaidullâh bin 'Abdullâh bin 'Umar narrated that Ibn 'Umar told them that a man called out to the Messenger of Allah when he was in the Masjid, saying: "0 Messenger of Allah, how should I make my prayer at night odd-numbered?" The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever prays, let him pray two by two, then when he feels that dawn is coming, let him offer one Rak'ah, and that will make what he had prayed odd-numbered for him."
