[1618] 39 – ( … ) It was narrated from 'Abdullâh bin Sâlim that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah ji used to offer voluntary prayers atop his mount, in whatever direction it was facing, and he would pray War atop his mount too, but he did not offer obligatory prayers like that."
