[4983] 8 – (1930) Abü (r)-A [tAr] Tha'labah A]-KhushânI said: "I came to the Messenger of Allah JI:)JI and said: '0 Messenger of Allah, we are in the land of some :J of the People of the Book, and we eat from their vessels. And it is a land where I hunt with my :JU431 bow and with my trained dog, or !JLI :ç4;!L my dog that is not trained. Tell me what is permissible for us of that.' He () said: 'As for what you have mentioned about being in a land of some of the People L41 1JI of the Book, and eating from their vessels, if you can find L vessels other than theirs, then do not eat (from their vessels), but if LJ.JL LD :jI. ¶'L1i you cannot, then wash them then eat from them. As for what you [] have mentioned about being in a hunting land, whatever you catch with your bow, mention the Name of Allah then eat, and whatever you catch with your trained dog, mention the Name of Allah then eat. But whatever you catch with your dog that is not trained, if you come to it (when it is still alive) and slaughter it, then eat it."
