[4694] 145 – (1813) Abü Az- Zubair narrated that he heard Jâbir bin 'Abdullâh say: "I went on nineteen campaigns with the Messenger of Allah ." Jâbir said: "I was not present at (the battles of) Badr or Uhud, because my father did not let me go. When 'Abdullâh (i.e., his father) was killed on the day of Uhud, I did not stay behind from any campaign with the Messenger of Allah ."
