[4629] 90 – (1783) A]-Bard' bin 'Azib said: 'Ali bin Abl Talib wrote down the truce between the Prophet : ji and the idolaters on the day of A1-Ijudaibiyah. He wrote: "This is :JtZ_ what has been agreed by Muhammad the Messenger of Allah." They (the Kuffâr of Makkah) said: Do not write, the Messenger of Allah , for if we knew that you were the Messenger of Allah we would not have fought you. The Prophet said to 'All: "Erase it." He said: I am not the one who will erase it. So the Prophet erased it with his hand. And among the things that they stipulated was that they (the Muslims) would enter Makkah and stay there for three days, and they would not enter with weapons, except weapons that were wrapped (in leather bags made for that purpose).
