[41921 24 – ( … ) It was narrated from Jâbir, who is (Jâbir) bin 'Abdullâh, that the Messenger of Allah ruled concerning one who is given a gift for life that it belongs to him and his children, and it belongs to him absolutely, and it is not permissible for the giver to stipulate any conditions or make any exceptions. Abü Salamah said: "Because he has given it in such a way that it is subject to the rules of inheritance, therefore any conditions that he may stipulate are overruled by the rules of inheritance."
