Sahih Muslim Hadith 4081 – Selling Food Like

[4081] 94 – ( … ) Abfl Hurairah and Abü Sa'eed A1-KhudrI narrated that the Messenger of Allah sent the brother of Banü 'Adiyy Al- AnsârI to collect revenue from Khaibar, and he brought fine-quality (JanIb) dates. The Messenger of Allah ; said to him: "Are all the dates of Khaibar like this?" He said: "No, by Allah, 0 Messenger of Allah. We bought one â' for two Sâ' out of the total." The Messenger of Allah said: "Do not do that. Rather (buy) like for like, or sell this and buy some of that with its price. And the same goes for weights."
