136651 10 – ( … ) Ibn 'Umar said: "I divorced my wife while she was menstruating, and 'Umar went to the Prophet and told him about that. The Prophet said: 'Let him take her back, then when she becomes pure, if he wishes he may divorce her.' He (the narratror) said: "I said to Ibn 'Umar: 'Was that counted (as a divorce)?' He said: 'Why wouldn't it be? It must be counted even if he failed and acted foolishly." 111 Meaning, her 'Iddah starts when he divorces her while she is not menstruating.
