Sahih Muslim Hadith 2652 – Fasting On The

[2652] 125 – (1128) It was narrated that Jâbir bin Samurah [may Allah be pleased with them] said: "The Messenger of Allah used to enjoin us, and encourage us, to fast on the day of 'Ashârâ', and he used to check on us when that day came. When (fasting during) Ramaçlân was enjoined, he neither commanded us nor forbade us, and he did not check on us."
