Sahih Muslim Hadith 84

1841 It was narrated that 'Affân bin Muslim said: "We were with Ismâ'Il bin 'Ulayyah and a man narrated a report from another man. I said that this one is not reliable. The man said: 'You are backbiting about him.' Ismâ'Il said: 'He is not backbiting; rather he judged that he is not reliable." 4r
