Sahih Muslim Hadith 64

[64] It was narrated that Hammâm said: "AN Dâwüd A]- A'ma entered upon Qatâdah and when he left, they said: 'This man claims that he met eighteen men who had been present at (the battle at) Badr.' Qatâdah said: 'He used to beg before the plague, and he has nothing to do with that at all, and he should not speak. By Allah, Al-I3asan did not narrate directly from anyone who had been present at Badr, and Sa'eed bin Al- Müsâyyab did not narrate directly from anyone who had been present at Badr, except for Sa'd bin Mâlik."
